Map of Elijah's Journey

After confronting the prophets of Baal, Elijah flees Jezebel all the way to Horeb before resuming his ministry.

This journey has 3 stages through 3 places. It begins at Jezreel and ends at Damascus; joining each stop with a straight line on the map gives about 1,060 km. In today's terms the route crosses Israel, Egypt, and Syria. The actual route followed roads and terrain, so treat this distance as a sense of scale rather than a measured itinerary.
