Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 15, 2026

Geobi is a Bible geography learning service operated from the United States. This policy explains what information geobi.org and the Geobi apps use, how it is protected, and how you can delete it. Membership is currently a beta for adults aged 18 and over.

Operator and contact

Geobi is operated by Storetag Corp, New Jersey, USA. Questions about your information: contact@geobi.org.

Account information

Account features use your email, display name, language, a hashed password (if you sign up with a password), and email verification status. Sessions, connection IP addresses, and browser information may be stored to keep you signed in and protect your account.

Signing in with Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, whether that email is verified, and your Google account ID with Geobi (the openid, email and profile permissions). We use this only to create and sign in to your Geobi account and to show your display name. We do not receive your Google password, do not store your profile photo, and do not access Gmail, Drive, Contacts or any other Google data.

Sign-in tokens issued by Google are stored with your account link. You can disconnect Google in Account, and you can remove Geobi’s access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Google’s handling of your information is described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

Geobi’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.

Learning history

Course progress, quiz answers, and favorites are saved to your signed-in account. Guest history stays in your browser and is merged only when you choose to import it.

Groups

When you agree to join a group, its leader and Geobi administrators can see your name and past and future progress in assigned courses. Other members cannot see it. Leaving removes you from that group’s progress view. Deleting your account also deletes groups you created, their assignments, and membership lists; other members’ learning records remain.

Email, analytics and external services

Account emails are used for verification and password recovery and are sent using Google SMTP. Signing up does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

We use Google Analytics for public-page visit statistics, which may process page visits and browser identifiers. Account, authentication, My learning, group and administration pages are excluded, and ad personalization is disabled. Maps are displayed using external map services such as OpenFreeMap.

Export and deletion

You can export your learning history or delete your account in Account. Accounts with a password confirm the password; accounts that only use Google confirm by signing in with Google again. You may also ask us about access, correction or deletion at contact@geobi.org.

Deleting your account removes your account, sessions, connected sign-in methods and learning history from the active database. Guest browser history and files you already downloaded are not automatically removed.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date on this page and give notice on the site or by email for significant changes.
