Derbe
A city in the region of Lycaonia where Paul and Barnabas took refuge and preached after Paul was stoned at Lystra; its exact location was debated by scholars until the mid-20th century.

The discovery of a dedicatory inscription in 1964 led to wide acceptance of Kerti Höyük, though there is a history of scholarly disagreement with the earlier candidate (Gudelisin), so it is marked 'probable.'
