Gadara
A Hellenistic and Roman city of the Decapolis, one of the proposed settings for the healing of the demon-possessed man and the herd of swine (Matthew 8:28). Identified with the ruins of Umm Qais in Jordan.

The city's own location is certain, but since it lies some distance from the Sea of Galilee, it is debated, along with Gerasa, as the site of the Gospels' miracle of the pigs.
