Jahaz
Where Israel defeated the Amorite king Sihon in battle (Numbers 21:23-24). Also named on the Moabite Stone, but its exact location among several tells on the Moabite plateau north of the Arnon remains unresolved — scholars have proposed more than nine different identifications.
