Sodom

The city where Abraham's nephew Lot lived, destroyed by fire and brimstone in God's judgment (Genesis 19). Its exact location is unresolved, contested between the traditional Bronze Age site of Bab edh-Dhra southeast of the Dead Sea and Tall el-Hammam east of the lower Jordan.
